Farmers’ Market – juicing is not too expensive after all! Day 10

We were up and out early to get a jump on the best produce at the local farmers’ market and farm stands, stocking up for the next 7 days…

Mary here..We got home, unpacked and I was bushed..very tired today. Passed out and took a nap, which is very unusual for me. Now we are off to Franciscos Farm stand to complete what we need for the upcoming week.

Christine here…feeling fabulous today! Felt good to get up early and get shopping. We did really well at the farmers’ market and got almost everything we needed. Some items we got at a local farm stand because they were cheaper like strawberries and oranges, and then we went to Whole Foods for organic carrots. The farmers’ market does have lots of carrots, but Whole Foods has a 5lb bag of large (best for juicing) organic carrots for just $3.99. So we basically are stocked up for the week for the two of us and spent only $154 total. We’re actually spending a lot less money on this juice fast than we expected, because we’re lucky enough to have access to the locally grown produce. It’s definitely the way to go. After our plunder we decided to take the rest of the day off and just watch some old movies and chill, let our bodies suck up all the nutrients and continue to detox and get healthy. Felt really sleepy in the late afternoon and just went with it. So far 7 pounds lost!
